Not being daunted by the daunting shadows of mortality, I emerged from the crucible of my radiation treatments, a warrior conquering Breast Cancer, and embarked on a profound journey of self-discovery. This canvas embodies that chapter of my existence, wherein I confronted the specter of death with unwavering courage, while unearthing the sheer joy of living. Skulls, often shrouded in sepulchral symbolism, paradoxically embrace our corporeal essence—a foundational nexus exuding unyielding fortitude.
I recall my trepidation at the prospect of immortalizing the skull’s visage, haunted by the specters of society’s expectations. Yet, I now strive to emancipate my artistic spirit from the fetters of public perceptions. I am aware that the artistic wellspring within should not be limited by the opinions of the masses, as genuine creativity flows unrestricted and liberated.
