Art is around us
Some people say that art is in everything around us. Art can be found in nature when we see animals and vegetation. The beauty that make the different flowers on planet earth. There are many more forms of art that I can’t mention them all but to write a few: cooking, dancing, singing, writing, our bodies, and one of my favorites… fashion.
Life is an artistic expression that has unlimited branches. Any form of art help us make sense and try to fit what we experience. Any skill, craft, talent, and profession requires creativity, no matter how small.
The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.

My relationship with Artem
I’m a bilingual speaker who speaks Spanish and English. When I have had to choose names for websites, I tend to play with Latin words. As if using a Latin word, or combination of them, I could unite both languages I speak. Artem was my compromise of how to start calling my body of art work. Art for English, and Arte for the Spanish word, both can be linked to the Latin word Artem. A word that seems to express that I can try to define my work, but it will evolve and reflect the dualities of life.
When I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2017, I remember having one regret at that moment of my life. It wasn’t that I didn’t have children, it was that I wasn’t doing Art professionally. Up until this day, I recognize the sadness that fills my soul when I consider taking a path that doesn’t include art. This website, this idea behind Artem•Ki•Dharma, it’s to not feel I’m wasting this second chance I have to live life with my true purpose.
I’ve experienced Artem in many forms in my life, poetry is one of them. On the videos below, besides sharing an art time-lapse and some of this page content, I’m also reading one of my poems.
