Understanding contrast

This digital painting was partially inspired from when I painted a flower on my face for a radiation treatment. In my art journey, I noticed I tend to gravitate to certain colors when painting. As I keep practicing and finding my style(s), I’m learning to think more about contrast. In a first version of this painting, I had the hair in pink which eventually I changed to yellow to practice this concept.
